 BELIEVE MOSES, THEN YOU WILL BELIEVE YAHSHUA; “For if you believed Moses [the Law], you would have believed me…But if you believe not his writings, how shall you believe my words?” (Jn. 5:46.47). SOME OF HIS WORDS: “And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the Law [Moses’ writings] to fail.” (Lk. 16:17). MORE OF HIS WORDS: “…but if you will enter into life, keep the commands…” (Matt. 19:18). Points to Notice: (1). Here He never mentioned the greatest commandment (Deut. 6:5; Matt. 22:37), nor coveting, nor taking the name of Yahweh in vain, nor the Sabbath, nor graven images. But Lk. 16:17 shows these are still in force. (2). Are Part of the New Covenant These unmentioned laws are also part of the New Covenant: “…because they continued not in my covenant…this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel…I will put my Laws in their mind, and write them in their heart…” (Heb. 8:9,10; quote of Jer. 31:31-34). The Laws Moses received on Horeb are Yahweh’s Laws (Mal. 4:4). MUST BE AN ISRAELITE: “That at that time you were without the Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Yahweh in the world:” (Eph, 2:11,12) …must be part of the commonwealth of Israel. ——————————————————————————————————- See Gary C.
