 MORE LASTING THAN THE UNIVERSE The Seventh Day Sabbath is not just a religious issue. It is a natural law, like the law of gravity; an everlasting Law that will not, cannot fail. (Ex. 31:16) “And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.” (Lk. 16:17) SABBATH REQUIREMENTS Death Penalty for Breaking it: “…you are to observe the Sabbath…Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death… …on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete Rest, Holy to Yahweh; whoever does any work on the Sabbath Day shall surely be put to death.” (Ex. 31:14,15) A SPEICAL DAY OF REST “If because of the Sabbath, you turn your foot From doing your own pleasure on My Holy Day, And call the Sabbath a delight, the Holy Day of Yahweh honorable, And shall honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure, And speaking your own word,” (Isa. 58:13; NAS) THE REWARD FOR KEEPING IT HOLY “Then you will take delight in Yahweh, And I will make you ride on the heights of the Earth; … For the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.” (Isa. 58:14; NAS) ——————————————————————————————————- See Gary C.
