Editor’s Note: This article is very confusing with the author’s use of what he calls brackets. Aside from that we found flaws in this article. Laura Lee [Brackets] Eighth Day of the Feast 2024 (Sermon Notes) By Warren Zehrung October 24, 2024 Recently, I was trying to figure out how to present my sermon for the Eighth Day of the Feast (Leviticus 23:36). I was reflecting on the eternity before God created man, and the eternity after God’s Plan will have come to fruition when this earth will no longer exist. Those two periods are represented by the brackets around the Plan of God for man on earth. God lives eternally. He is not hindered or restricted by time. For God there is no past, present, or future like there is for man. I had not realized before, how the story of mankind on earth is bracketed in this manner, but it is. Let me describe these two brackets: < eternity past ____ [mankind on earth] __ eternity future > This time-line denotes eternity past, then 7,000 years for man on earth, followed by God’s eternal future. We, as mankind on earth, are sandwiched between those two brackets. The Bible speaks clearly of events having to do with the beginning of creation and then comes the end closure when there will be no more earth on which man may live (Revelation 21:1). Those are the two brackets of God’s work of bringing many sons and daughters to glory in His Eternal Family (Hebrews 2:10). The beloved apostle John addresses the opening bracket as he begins his Gospel. John opens the bracket way back before the heavens and the earth were ever created. This is as far back as you can go: John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same [Jesus Christ] was in the beginning with God. God the Father and Jesus Christ, existed in the beginning in brilliant glory. (Revelation 21:23). In their Godly love, they wished to share their Eternal Life with an extended God Family. That mind-boggling concept, that mankind would be created to be like God, as His sons and daughters, was not an afterthought or a fallback notion, it was the very objective for all creation—that we might be filled with all the fullness of God—even the glory of God! (Ephesians 3:19, 1John 3:2) The earliest act of God of which we are aware, was the creation of angels. Editor’s Note: First where is your bible proof that the angels were the earliest creation of God. You may have that proof but you did not put it in this article. Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. Gen 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. The only part of Gen. 1:14 through Gen. 1:19 that is talking about the stars is where it says, “he made the stars also”. The rest is talking about the Sun and the Moon. 2Esdras 6:45 Upon the fourth day thou commandedst that the sun should shine, and the moon give her light, and the stars should be in order: 2Esdras 6:46 And gavest them a charge to do service unto man, that was to be made. From the King James with apocrypha. The stars in the sky that are like our sun are inanimate objects which cannot serve anyone. Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Rev 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. Esdras alludes to the angels being created on the fourth day of creation. Hebrews shows the angels were created to serve men and Revelation shows the angels were symbolized as stars of heaven. Laura Lee God created the spirit world so that there would be ministering servants to do His bidding in tending to man’s prerequisites. However, after so long a time, there was a terrible rebellion within the spirit world leading to the fall of 1/3 of the angels. Lucifer’s pride and jealousy were the cause: Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isaiah 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit [on God’s throne] also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: Isaiah 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. [I will be the Most High]. Moses, added Genesis Chapter One to our narrative of the opening bracket: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. But it is the beloved apostle John who gives us a picture of both brackets, the very beginning and the very end [in Revelation] — bracketing the Plan of God on earth — sandwiching in the Plan of God for man on earth. John opens the brackets back before the heavens and the earth were created by the pre-incarnate Jesus and closes the brackets with the writings in Revelation about the post-incarnate Jesus (Revelation 1:13-16). The Eighth Day shows that there must needs be a conveyance of all things to the sovereignty of God the Father. The apostle Paul addresses the transitional period coming up to the closing bracket: 1Corinthians 15:24 Then comes the end [the closing bracket], when [Jesus] shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. On earth, the Plan for mankind began in a veritable paradise [the Garden of Eden], and it will end in God’s paradise in the New Heavens and the New Earth (2Corinthians 12:4). The Father created all things by and through Jesus Christ until such time that all who are sanctified will be perfected (Hebrews 10:14). < eternity past ____ [mankind on earth] __ eternity future > In today’s sermon, we are focusing on the transitional period between the work of Jesus Christ on earth, and the institution of the New Heavens and the New Earth wherein God the Father will dwell eternally with His spiritual sons and daughters (Revelation 21:3). Genesis 1 and 2 [the Beginning] is the bracket before God worked on earth to bring mankind’s salvation, and Revelation 21 and 22 [the End] is the bracket where mankind’s salvation will be complete. Genesis 2:1-4 And on the seventh day God… rested from all His work which he had made; the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created. What does the Eighth Day in the Plan of God picture? Today, the Eighth Day of the Feast, is all about the end bracket, the closing bracket. A logical question is, “What is going to happen to the stars in the sky and this present earth on which we live?” The answer is that at the end of the Millennium, they will have served their purpose. Let’s establish the fact that this earth we call home – is only going to last until the end of the Millennium – and then it will cease to exist! Editor’s Note: The earth will exist until everything is done. The old earth will cease to exist at some point during or after the eighth day. Laura Lee Hard to believe? The Bible is abundantly clear on this point. We are told to look up at “the stars at night are big and bright – … deep in the heart of Texas,” And then look down on the ground on which we stand: Isaiah 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished. Offertory Music: Nope, “the stars at night are big and bright… deep in the heart of Texas,” was not the offertory music. #16 The Heavens God’s Glory do Declare. Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. Alternate Special Music for the 8th Day, How Great Thou Art: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Ci2YpH6z4 Brethren, as we take up the offering, reflect on the words of this hymn – if the heavens declare God’s glory now, think of how much more the coming New Heavens will declare His Glory! – End Offertory – We continue with the Holy Day sermon… [Brackets] with the last bracket representing the Eighth Day of the Feast. Leviticus 23:33 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying… Leviticus 23:36 …On the Eighth day [the last day of the Fall Feasts] shall be an Holy Convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. The Bible says very little about the eighth day in the Old Testament, it seems. But the New Testament Scripture reveals a great deal. Paul describes the two brackets – one at the beginning—and then the closing bracket—the one we are studying today. Hebrews 1:10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning [the opening Bracket of the Bible] hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: Then Paul speaks of the closing bracket — the bracket we are studying today, the 8th Day. Hebrews 1:11 They [the earth and the heavens] shall perish; but you remain [Lord]; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment (Isaiah 51:6); Hebrews 1:12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: (alluding to Psalm 102:26) Yes, changed out – to make way for the New Heavens and New Earth. Of course, Paul was quoting the Old Testament to show that King David understood from God the transient nature on the physical universe: Psalm 102:25 [O my God,] Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. Psalm 102:26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falls off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree. Jesus spoke openly of the transient nature of the heavens and earth. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass [away], one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Mark 13:31) Paul explains our entrance into Future Glory The physical universe that we see about us was not created to last forever: Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! [in the Resurrection] Romans 8:19 For [even the whole of] creation eagerly awaits the Children of God to be revealed. Romans 8:20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, futility, and to transientness, not willingly, but by reason of Him who hath subjected the same in hope, Romans 8:21 that the creation itself shall also be delivered from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God. Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation has been moaning and groaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now. Romans 8:23 And not only this, but we ourselves also [are experiencing the pains of childbirth], who have the firstfruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan within ourselves, as we eagerly await [the sign of] our adoption [uihothesia] as sons [Children of God]—the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection]. Let’s look at the Judgment at Christ’s Coming. Paul acknowledges that being a true Christian is difficult: … In all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure… 2Thessalonians 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 2Thessalonians 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; We do not have to worry about it – Jesus will undoubtedly even the score with those who persecute His servants. 2Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 2Thessalonians 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 2Thessalonians 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power; That everlasting destruction will take place immediately before the entrance of Jesus Christ and the saints into the Eighth Day establishment of the Eternal Kingdom of God—the final bracket. That everlasting destruction at the conclusion of the seventh day closes the time of man’s existence on earth when all saints will have become Glorified Spirit beings. 2Thessalonians 1:10 When He shall come to be Glorified in His Saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. Peter covers the subject of the closing nature of the heavens and earth very well. He rhetorically asks the question, “What is in store for this earth?” 2Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Jesus work in not yet done – He must yet Judge the nations. 2Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Note that the fire and fervent heat that follow after the 1,000-year-long Millennium and Great White Throne Judgment are much hotter and far more extensive than the fire that accompanies the Day of the Lord. All the greatest cities of the world—gone forever: 2Peter 3:10 But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away [like the beautiful constellation of Orion], with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [What kind of fire is that?] Action Step: Considering that there will be no more heavens or earth, Peter asks us to reflect on our Christian lives and strive to be a people of all holiness and Godliness. 2Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things [heaven and earth] shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness? 2Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, [not the Day of the Lord 1,000 years before this, but the day of God the Father], wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 2Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein dwells righteousness. Revelation 20:11 I saw a Great White Throne, and He [Jesus Christ] that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:13 … the dead were judged every man according to their works. After this point, there will be no more resurrections from the dead. Revelation 20:14 Death and the grave were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. The answer for the incorrigibly wicked and ungodly men who were not found written in the Book of Life, is that they shall go away into everlasting punishment and be cast into the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41, 46, Revelation 20:14-15, 21:8). The judgment of Jesus Christ will also include the condemnation and ultimate consequence for Satan and the demons, the unbelieving, the abominable, the murderers, the whoremongers, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars (Jude 1:6, Revelation 20:10). This will be the closing of a major chapter in the Plan of God – such that the earth as we know it will cease to exist! The heavens shall pass away (2Peter 3:10). The universe will collapse – roll up like a scroll is the way Isaiah and John describe it (Isaiah 34:4, Revelation 6:14). When the Judgment of the Great White Throne is completed—then the heaven and earth will flee away forever and ever, and Jesus’ reign on earth will be finished (Revelation 20:11). Then, everything will become brand new (Revelation 21:5). Revelation 21:5 He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 1Corinthians 15:24 Then comes the end, when [Jesus] shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. Paul Describes the Kingdom Delivered Up to God the Father 1Corinthians 15:24 Then comes the end, when Christ shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1Corinthians 15:25 For [Jesus Christ] must reign, until He has put all enemies under His feet. 1Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1Corinthians 15:27 For He [the Father] hath put all things under His feet. But when He said all things are put under Him [Jesus], it is manifest that He [the Father] is excepted, which did put all things under Him. In other words, just for a clarification, Paul says, the Father was not subject unto Jesus. 1Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him [God the Father] that put all things under Him [Jesus], that God may be all in all. Isaiah described – the Eighth Day – Today – this way – the closing bracket on God’s eternal Plan! Everything must be totally purged and purified in preparation for the transfer from the authority and rule of Jesus Christ to God the Father. The handover from Jesus to God the Father cannot take place until after the memory of all sin and corruption is extinguished forever. Even the earth will be no more: Isaiah 65:17 Behold, I create New Heavens and a New Earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor even come into mind. Nothing irreverent, whether it be caused by wrongdoing, sin or iniquity, can ever come into God’s perfect Holy Presence. God set forth His high standard by placing an impenetrable barrier between Himself and the profane (Leviticus 10:10). God the Father and Jesus Christ will reign forever more in righteousness. We the resurrected Saints will be at their side forever more. The sun and moon—will no longer be needed—they will have served their purpose: Brethren, this Eighth Day of the Feast presents us with a window to see beyond the allotted 7,000-years of man into the future eternity that lies ahead — the New Heaven and New Earth with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Isaiah 66:22 For as the New Heavens and the New Earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. God declares that the New Heavens and the New Earth are a Fait Accompli, meaning that it is a sure thing that has already been decided on and established before it arrives. The end bracket shows us that there lies an eternity beyond in which God the Father shall reign over His Children in Mount Zion from henceforth, even forever. Micah 4:7 … the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of His empire and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Even the beauty of the Millennium will cease after the Great White Throne Judgement has been completed. These brackets are a way to view the narrative of the Bible: The Beginning, then the [seven-thousand-year Plan of God on earth], and finally the End, the eternal New Heavens and New Earth. Absolutely everything we can know of – see, touch… will no longer exist! Revelation 21:1 And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. One of the brethren texted me a Feast sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean… “no more sea.” It is almost impossible to comprehend – yet the Scriptures are so clear that this Day pictures an entirely new chapter in God’s eternal Plan. Let’s turn to Revelation 21 and 22, the closing bracket. This closing bracket on God’s word tells us what is in store for the resurrected Saints of God. New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven is metaphorically all the saints of God. The Holy City, called New Jerusalem, is all of the resurrected Saints from all time. The saints are the citizens of the Holy City. Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Editor’s Note: Revelation 21:2 is not a metaphor, it is literal. As far as the saints are concerned, it is a given that they will live in the New Jerusalem, but they are not the New Jerusalem as you seem to be saying here. Laura Lee John did not see brick and mortar, steel and concrete city coming down from God. The Holy City, New Jerusalem comprises all the resurrected Saints of God. Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them [the Saints of God], and they shall be His people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [gone forever] Revelation 21:5 And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Editor’s Note: I think you are way off here. On the one hand you talk about a new heaven and a new earth but then you say it is the resurrected saints that are the new Jerusalem. And yet there is plenty of scripture you do quote that speaks of a throne. I am sure that much of what is in the new heavens and earth will be possibly made out of material that perhaps we have never seen before but maybe not since it speaks of beautiful stones being a part of it. You didn’t quote the scriptures that describe the new heavens and the new earth. It seems you want us all to believe that the old heaven and earth passed away but nothing tangible replaced it. You went from Revelation 21:11 to Revelation 21:22 just so you could skip the scriptures in regard to the new Jerusalem which is on the new earth. Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; Rev 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: Rev 21:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Rev 21:15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. Rev 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. Rev 21:18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; Rev 21:20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Was it intentional for you to skip that full description in order to protect your metaphor theory? And your no mortar and no brick theory? Scripture talks about a new heaven and a new earth and not about an illusion. Rocks and gold are physical things, not illusions and whatever the throne is made out of, spirit beings can sit on it. I believe you have done a great disservice to God’s people by writing this article. Several things you write about are not in the right time order and the description of the Holy City was no where to be found because it is not people it is made of gold for sure and stones and pearls. The elect of God are not a city but they will live in New Jerusalem, on the New Earth surrounded by the New Heavens. Laura Lee In the Book of Revelation, both God the Father and Jesus Christ are referred to as the “Alpha and Omega.” Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. [Eternal Life] Revelation 21:7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Revelation 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; Description of New Jerusalem Follows Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. The latter Everlasting Temple will ever more be more Glorious than Solomon’s temple by far – because it will be the Glory of God Himself! There will be no need for the Sun to give its energy to the earth for warmth, for food, for trees, or for seasons! Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the Sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Revelation 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it. Haggai 2:7, And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house [the Everlasting Temple] shall be greater than of the former. What is the “desire of all nations?” They do not know it yet, but their desire is to be reconciled to God the Father in His Everlasting Temple. Revelation 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. Revelation 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. A reiteration of Revelation 20:15 follows: Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Revelation 22:1 And [one of the seven angels] shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Revelation 22:8 And I John saw these things and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. Revelation 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Revelation 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. We are in the final bracket – everyone’s character is fixed – for good and for evil. Again, Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city. Many have been excluded from the Eternal Kingdom of God. Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. John 7:37-39 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of His belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spoke He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive)… Do not add other narratives to Scripture as though God had declared them! Do not take away anything from the word of God! Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:20 He which testifies these things says, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Brethren, this day — the Eighth Day of the Feast — pictures our being there in the Eternal Holy City, New Jerusalem with God the Father and Jesus Christ forever more.
