 WORDS HAVE A DAY OF RECKONING: “But I say to you, That every idle Word that men shall Speak, they shall give an account thereof in the Day of Judgment.” (Matt. 12:36) THE POWER OF WORDS: “Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Prv. 18:21) “…the Words that I Speak to you, they are Spirit, and they are Life.” (Jn. 6:63) “Then Simon Peter answered Him, Master, to whom shall we go? You have the Words of Eternal Life.” (Jn. 6:68) “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come…from the heart; and… defile the man [make him unclean]. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things that defile a man…” (Matt. 15:18-20) WHAT WE SAY DETERMINES OUR FATE: “For by Your Words you shall be Justified, and by Your Words You shall be Condemned.” (Matt. 12:37) “For with the heart man believes unto righteousness: and with the Mouth Confession is made unto Salvation.” (Rom. 10:10) Even our Salvation even depends on what we Say…or don’t say! “He that keeps his Mouth keeps his Life: but he that opens wide his Lips shall have Destruction.” (Prv. 13:3) “A wholesome Tongue is a Tree of Life….” (Prv. 15:4; also 18:21) DO NOT ANSWER EVIL WITH EVIL: “…the Messiah (“Christ”; KJV) …suffered…leaving us an example, that we should follow His steps. Who did no sin, neither was guile (deceit, trickery) found in His mouth: …when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not…” (I Pet. 2:21-23) BE SLOW TO ANGER: “A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame.” (Prv. 13:16). “The discretion of a man defers his Anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.” (Prv. 19:11) “He that is Slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.” (Prv. 14:29) HONOR TO WHOM HONOR (Rom. 13:7): “You shall not revile the judges, nor curse the Ruler of Your people.” (Ex. 22:28) “It is an honor for a man to cease from strife…” (Prv. 20:3) HOW TO LOVE LIFE: “For he that will Love Life, and see Good Days, let him refrain his Tongue from evil, and his Lips that they speak no guile.” (I Pet. 3:10) ——————————————————————————————————- See Gary C.
