A – INTRODUCTION Two religious figures mentioned in the Bible will soon burst onto the world scene and create a serious split among God’s people in these end times, BEFORE the Great Tribulation! It is about the prophet (the true one), son of man (Mal 4:5; Ez 2:3), and the false prophet, the man of sin (Matt 7:15; Rev 13:11; 2 Thes 2:3-4). It is the appearance of the first that will reveal the second, as if to say that the true one will bring the false one out of the shadows! NB: So then, Elijah the prophet, the son of man (2nd) could not come before the apostasy that occurred in the Church of God after the disappearance of Mr. Armstrong, and he could not come either, before the era of Laodicea that we are going through today; since it is his arrival on the scene that will make appear the man of sin, who comes, after the apostasy (2 Thess 2:3,6)! Laura Lee In the booklet of the former Worldwide Church of God (WCG) entitled “Where are Enoch and Elijah?“, Published by Ambassador College in 1962, under the supervision of Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong, then General Pastor of the WCG, Dr. Herman Hoeh had said: “The supernatural removal of Elijah was a foreshadowing of the transfer still to come, in a safety place of another man who, shortly before the Day of the Lord, will fulfill the same mission which acquitted the original Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6). “ Today, Mr. Armstrong, who was a long time considered to be that man by the WCG, has been dead for over 38 years, before the era of Laodicea and the Lord’s Day; so he has not fulfilled this prophecy about Elijah, because in fact, biblically, he was not the Elijah to come before the Lord’s Day! This is biblically how events will unfold for these two characters, “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Am 3:7)! B – THEIR IDENTITIES The Bible clearly gives the identity of the true prophet, the son of man (2nd), and that of the false prophet, the man of sin. One will be the representative of God, and the other the representative of Satan in the events that will shake the world, Before the Great Tribulation! – The Identity of the Prophet, Son of Man (2nd) Through the mouths of the prophets Ezekiel and Malachi, Yehovah (who later became Jesus-1 Cor 10:4), said that He will send a Son of Man, a Prophet (Ezek 2:1-5; 7:1- 10), and Elijah, the Prophet (Mal 4:5) to the children of Israel at the end of the age, before the Day of the Lord, of the Eternal, lest His coming strike the land with utter destruction (Mal 4:6)! This therefore means that Elijah, the prophet, and the Son of Man, a prophet, who are sent by Christ to the Israelites (physical and spiritual), at the same time (end times), and for the same work (warning), are one and the same person, “For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace. » (1 Cor 14:33). He only uses one man as Leader, for a specific task! Also, in Luke 17:22-37, Jesus announced to his disciples the coming in the end times which resemble the times of Noah and Lot, of a son of man whom these first disciples would not see (V22), since they all died in the first century. They saw and heard Jesus as the Son of Man for 3 1/2 years. (Luke 7:34; 10:23-24). They saw Him die on the cross and be buried (Jn 19:26-30, 38-42). They will be with Him at His coming (Zac 14:5; Rev 17:14)! The Son of Man described in Luke 17:22-37, cannot therefore be Jesus, Son of God since his resurrection (Rom 1:4), but Elijah the prophet who comes to restore all things in the Church, After the death of the spiritual Moses who was Herbert W Armstrong, and Before the coming of Christ (Mal 4:4; Matt 17:11). Editor’s Note: Herbert W. Armstrong was not a spiritual Moses. Laura Lee In Luke 18:8, Jesus cried out, “When the Son of Man comes (not returns), will He find faith on the earth?”. Which Son of Man is Christ talking about? We have just seen that Christ is no longer the Son of Man since His resurrection, and that He will be accompanied by all the resurrected saints who have proven their faith! Again, the son of man that Jesus refers to in Luke 18:8, can only be the prophet Elijah (the 3rd) who will come in our days, which resemble the days of the 1st Elijah, when Israel was limping from side to side, as is the case today in the Church of God since the death of Herbert Armstrong in 1986 (1 Kgs 18:21)! The Son of Man (the second), is therefore Elijah, the prophet who must come in the name of the Lord (Jesus), to do preparatory work which will prevent the annihilation of the earth at the second Coming of Christ (Mal 4:6). This is also why Jesus (who is no longer the Son of Man) must remain in heaven, at the right hand of the Father, until Elijah comes to restore and reestablish all things (Acts 3:21; Mark 9:12), in His devastated house, after the death of the Zerubbabel of the end times who was Armstrong. (Zech 4:6-10)! Editor’s Note: Now you are saying Herbert Armstrong was Zerubbabel. So, which is it? Was he Moses or Zerubbabel? Instead of putting your faith in men that were used of God, put your faith in God and quit making stuff up that is not true. Laura Lee – The Identity of the False Prophet, Man of Sin * “…I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads…and another beast rose out of the earth, having two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon” (Rev 13:1,11), * “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matt 7:15), * “The beast was captured, and with him the false prophet.” (Rev 19:20). NB: Here in these passages, we see that the false prophet is the beast (dragon, wolf) which rises from the earth (religion) with the outward appearances of a lamb or sheep! * “Little children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that Antichrist is coming, even now there are many antichrists…They went out from us, but they were not of us.” (1 Jn 2:18-19). NB: John who speaks of the last hour, tells us that the Antichrist comes out of his midst. Now, we know that John was at Pentecost in the year 31, when the Church was born. From then on, his vision of the last hour, therefore TODAY, clearly demonstrates that the Antichrist will come out of the Church of God. And since the false prophet also comes out of the religious world, therefore from the church, the two are only one and the same person, the Impious One! * “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre…Your heart is lifted up, and you have said: I am God, I sit on the seat of God…” (Ez 28:2), * “We beseech you, brethren…that ye be not troubled…for it is necessary…that the man of sin should be revealed, the son of perdition…who exalts himself above that which is called God…so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (2 Thess 2:3-4). NB: The Prince of Tyre to whom the Son of Man addresses himself is none other than the man of sin who calls himself God. He is like Judas, the son of perdition, who was one of the first disciples of Jesus. Judas did not think he was betraying Christ at first, but he let Satan enter him through self-righteousness (Jn 12:4-6; 13:2), like the man of sin who will take his will for the will of God (Ez 28:2). The False Prophet, the Antichrist, the Prince of Tyre, the Man of Sin, the Wicked One, and the Son of Perdition, are one and the same person! C – THEIR ENTRY ON STAGE The coming of the Son of Man and the Man of Sin will shake the whole world, which was not prepared for it. Here is how! – The Entrance of the Son of Man (2nd) The Unexpected and Miraculous Arrival of the ‘true’ son of man (Elijah) who brings the Physical Nation of God onto the world stage(Is 66:7-8; Matt 24:44; Luke 21:34-35; 1 Thes 5:2), will be known to all mankind, it will not be hidden, since it will be a well-known man, who would have died a few years before, and who will come back to physical life (will resurrect or will sprout) where he was buried (Ps 30:1-4; 40:1-4; Zec 6:12); after his return to physical life, he will be surrounded by a few people, equally known, from all continents, who will find themselves instantly and miraculously at his side without the help of any known means of transport, even the most quick and sophisticated (Zec 3:8; Dan 2:34,45; Jer 3:14; Deut 30:4; Mk 13:27; Luke 17:30,34-37). This breathtaking event will be relayed, from the East to the West, by all current media around the world (internet, television, radio, telephone, etc.) which are Waves like lightning, and which did not exist in the first century (Isa 45:5-6; Matt 24:27; Luke 17:24). The whole world will be amazed to see “A Revenant surrounded by the people who were just moments ago, sleeping in their bed, or cooking in their kitchen, or working in their field, thousands of miles away. », according to time zones! » (Luke 17:34-36)! It is this event that Traditional Christianity has always called ‘the Rapture’ which in reality is the Birth of the Physical Nation of God in one day! (Isa 66:7-8): the gathering of the physical elect will be done by the Angels (eagles or vultures) who will bring them to where ‘the body’ will be, that is to say the son of man who is Elijah, returned to physical life (Luke 17:30,34-37; De 30:4; Mk 13:27)! The Rapture of the physical elect by angels is therefore not a myth, as some believe in the Church of God. It is a biblical reality which is not the first: Elijah (physical) was taken away (2 Kgs 2:3,11), Jesus (physical) was transported by Satan, an angel (Luke 4:5,9)! – The Entrance of the Man of Sin After the birth of the physical Nation of God by Elijah, the son of the man who held him back (2 Thess 2:6), the Man of sin will burst onto the scene in an extraordinary and spectacular way, with great satanic power, accompanied by wonders and lying signs, even to the point of bringing down fire from heaven (2 Thess 2:9-10; Rev 13:13). This Antichrist and Impious One comes from the church (1 Jn 2:19), for a specific purpose that we will see later! D – CONFRONTATION AND ACTIONS 1) – The Confrontation Let us recall that these two characters will have been true ministers of the Church of God at a given time, and that they knew each other well (1 Jn 2:19; Ez 28:2). The arrival on the scene of the son of man will be miraculous, as we have seen, while that of the man of sin will be accompanied by satanic miracles. That is the difference! There will therefore be a fight between David (Elijah, the prophet) and Goliath (the false prophet and the antichrists). They will treat the son of man as an incarnate devil, therefore as a ‘false prophet’ because of his miraculous return to physical life. (Ps 30:1-4; 40:1-4; Lk 17:37). – The Mystery of Iniquity There is a former minister of the Worldwide Church of God today who founded his group in the late 1980s, after Mr. Armstrong died in 1986. He has a magazine and a television channel; he boasts an audience of nearly 500 million people worldwide! In 2007, he posted on his website that soon we will see demons on the world stage incarnating and taking the form of dead personalities, well known for misleading men. He cited Revelation 17:8 as his support! In a letter addressed to his ministers and followers, here is a summary of what he told them (compare with the verses in parentheses): – He is invested with a divine mission: “To raise up the Tabernacle of David” (2 Thess 2:3), – He is the only one, the one that God uses in these end times (2 Thess 2:4), – He says that following him; is to follow God (2 Thess 2:4; Ez 28:2), – He says that God will give him extraordinary power to do this work (2 Thess 2:9-11; Rev 13:11-17; 16:13-14), – He calls his ministers and followers to support him passionately (Rev 13:14), – He says that there are decisions he will make, which will show that ‘God’ is using him (Ez 28:2,6), – Finally, he calls his followers to the upcoming battle, and to be ready to sacrifice themselves to the death (Rev 13:14-17)! The stage is already set for action! The Church of God cannot be easily deceived by anyone or people outside of it. The Bible clearly shows us that the Church of God is usually deceived from within (1 John 2:19; 3 John 9-10). Editor’s Note: One thing I do agree with is that the problems generally come from within, just like when the Worldwide Church of God broke up and just as Joe Biden ran the country into the ground. Laura Lee Satan raises up and infiltrates false prophets (ministers) into the Church of God, to seduce and divert the attention of the elect (2 Cor 11:13-15; Mk 13:22; 1 Jn 2:19). God warned true Christians that “the mystery of iniquity” was already at work after Herbert Armstrong’s death (2 Thess 2:7). The purpose of all the above is, for this minister, who comes from the Universal Church of God and calls himself God, to tell the whole world that it is the devil who has taken the form of the son of man returned to physical life. As we have seen, he has powerful media means at his disposal for this purpose. He will label the true prophet as antichrist, and many in God’s Church, now asleep and scattered, will believe him and follow him into perdition (2 Thess 2:9-12). – The Pope is not the False Prophet The false prophet could therefore not be the Pope who has existed for centuries. The biblical prophecies also announce that the beast with 10 horns (the next United States of Europe – 10 federated states – Rev 17:12-13) will turn against “the Prostitute” which is the Papacy, will strip it naked and consume it by fire (Rev 17:16). It must be noted that the prostitute is not sitting on the 8th head which is the beast (Rev 17:9)! It is impossible that the Pope is the companion of the beast who destroys him! On the other hand, the false prophet will work actively and in close collaboration until the end with the beast, the super-president of the United States of Europe (Rev. 13:1,11-17; 16:13-14). Both will be thrown alive into the lake of fire at the coming of Christ (Rev. 19:19-20)! E – REACTION OF GOD’S PEOPLE When Zion, the physical Nation of God, will be born in one day (Isa 66:7-9; Luke 17:30-37), the whole world will see the Power of God as in the year 31, the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-12)! This nation miraculously brought on the scene by Elijah, the son of man, will be a trap for which the physical and spiritual Jews (The Laodiceans), were not prepared, because it was hidden (Isa 49:1-2; Matt 13:44). It is because Zion was hidden from the eyes of the world (Matth 1:44,38), that the man of sin and the false prophets will rise up under the impulse of the devil, to fight her with lying wonders, and this is why they come from the flock of God (1 Jn 2:18-19; 2 Pet 2:1,15; Jud 4; 2 Cor 11:13-15), to mislead and draw away the elect with them (2 Thess 2:9-12). Faced with this dilemma, the people of God (the called) will have a difficult choice to make. This is why only the Bible will be authoritative and will show where the truth is (Jn 17:17; 2 Tim 3:16-17). It will be necessary to have the strength of faith and (biblical) understanding to go to the son of man, to Elijah! The Parable of Christ on the 10 virgins (5 wise and 5 foolish) who went to meet the bridegroom, perfectly reflects the reaction of the people of God to the birth of Zion, the physical Kingdom of God (Matt 25:1-13)! NB: It should be noted that it is the Kingdom of Heaven that is in this Parable, compared to a bridegroom. So, the bridegroom they expect is not Christ, but the Kingdom of God which is “in our midst” (Luke 17:21) and which is to be revealed (Rom 8:19). It is made up of the ‘Sons of the kingdom’ scattered (Matt 26:31), and hidden in the world (the field) as a Treasure (Matt 13:24,38,44). Because when Christ returns from heaven, He will be accompanied by his Bride (The Risen Saints-144,000 First fruits-Zec 14:5; Col 3:4; 1 Thes 3:13; Rev 17:14; Rev 19:11 -14), to establish the Millennial reign. When Jesus is on earth with his Bride, there will be no more foolish women who would go and buy oil and come knocking at the door of the kingdom! This proves that the Coming of the Kingdom of God, which is hidden in the world, is different from the Coming of Christ coming in the air with his bride. The Wise: will light their lamps (their Bibles) with their supply of oil (the Holy Spirit), will recognize Zion, and will enter the physical kingdom of God that will be born in one day (Matt. 25:10; Isa. 66:7-9), “For when his children shall see the work of my hands among them, then they shall sanctify my name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and fear the God of Israel: and they that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall receive instruction.” (Isa. 29:23-24)! The Foolish Ones, who were unprepared, absorbed in the cares of this evil world (Matt. 13:22) and therefore were not ready for the Birth of God’s physical Nation in one day, ZION, will be at a loss and will wonder how to reach God’s physical Kingdom on its way to GALILEE (Luke 17:31-32; Rev. 12:14). And while they are looking at the means, the Beast (8th Resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire in the process of being formed, the future United States of Europe-Rev 17:11-14), will launch his troops after the Nation of God, but a great Earthquake will engulf them, cutting off all contact with the people of God, Zion in safety in Galilee on Mount Hermon, the Place of Refuge (Rev 12:15-16; Isa 4:5-6; 8:18). F – CONCLUSIONS There is an important Key, which will allow us to recognize the son of man, when he will be revealed (Luke 17:30). This key is found in Ezekiel 28:2-3: “Son of man, say to the Prince of Tyre…you take your will for the will of God. Behold, you are wiser than DANIEL, nothing secret is hidden from you…“. The Daniel quoted in this passage does not refer to the ancient prophet Daniel, because he is placed next to the Prince of Tyre who fights him and thinks he is wiser than him. This simply means that the son of man who will miraculously come on the scene and who will address the man of sin will have the name: Daniel, because: – “The Lord called me from the womb, He named me from the womb.” (Isa 49:1). – “I (the Lord) will give you hidden treasures, hidden riches, so that you may know that I am the Lord who calls you by your name, the God of Israel. For the sake of my servant Jacob, and of Israel, my chosen, I have called you by your name, I have spoken kindly to you, before you knew me. I am the Lord, and there is no other, there is no God besides me; I girded you, before you knew me. That they may know from the rising of the sun to the going down of the sun, that there is no God beside me: I am the LORD, and there is none else.” (Isa 45:3-6)! – “For as the lightning cometh out of the east (rising sun) and shined even unto the west (setting sun); so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Matt 24:27) -(see C1, above: Entrance of the Son of Man). Let us therefore prepare ourselves today to have to face with faith, all that is going to happen, otherwise, we will be in the spirit of Lot’s wife, absorbed by the fields of Babylon (politics, work, family, business, etc…), at the risk of losing focus, and forgetting our vocation. (Luke 17:30-32). Soon, it will be the moment of choice as in the time of the original Elijah, when God will reveal Zion, His physical nation, and reveal the devil by the wicked who will fight her. What choice will we make: – God or Satan? – Elijah, the prophet or the false prophet, Prince of Tyre? – Zion, the Nation of God or Babylon the Great? – The Sabbath (the Place of Refuge in Galilee) or Winter (the Great Tribulation)? – Truth or Deception? – Obedience or Disobedience? – Eternal Life or Eternal Death? God says, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Choose life” (Deut. 30:19)! Soon, the 40 years of wandering of God’s people in the spiritual wilderness since the death of Herbert Armstrong in 1986, will be over, and the spiritual Joshua, Elijah, who is the 2nd blacksmith or servant of God of the end time (Zec 1:20-21), will arise for the 2nd phase of his mission, and bring the physical nation of God to the Place of Refuge, on the high mountains of Galilee, and more precisely on Mount Hermon, called Mount Zion, where the Transfiguration took place (Ez 34:12-15; Ex 15:17; De 4:48; Abd 17; Joel 2:27; Rev 12:15-16; Is 4:5-6; 8 18; Matt 17:1-6; 2 Pet 1:18)! “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Rev. 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22)!
