Iron Sharpening Iron In regard to: They Hate You And Want You Dead Article by David Sielaff Comments by Laura Lee (Bismarck, North Dakota) |

First of all, Christ is not a created being: The following is talking about Christ: Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. From the Adam Clark Commentary in regard to Col. 16 & 17: For by him were all things created, etc – These two verses contain parts of the same subject. I shall endeavor to distinguish the statements of the apostle, and reason from them in such a way as the premises shall appear to justify, without appealing to any other scripture in proof of the doctrine which I suppose these verses to vindicate. Four things are here asserted: That Jesus Christ is the Creator of the universe; of all things visible and invisible; of all things that had a beginning, whether they exist in time or in eternity. That whatsoever was created was created For himself; that he was the sole end of his own work. That he was prior to all creation, to all beings, whether in the visible or invisible world. That he is the preserver and governor of all things; for by him all things consist. From David’s article he states: The principalities and powers have ruled the second heaven that we call outer space today, and they participate in assemblies in the third heaven where God’s throne is located. (End Quote) This is an interesting statement, but I will dispute it unless he can show scripture that shows these assemblies are being held in the third heaven near God’s Throne. Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. There is a reason Satan was thrown from heaven and it is the same reason human beings are not allowed in heaven. That reason is sin. So, these other evil beings would also not be allowed in the third heaven near God’s Throne for the same reason, sin. I have no doubt God can talk to anyone He wants to talk to; I just don’t believe He is doing it with evil creatures in the third heaven near His thrown. |
