| John Mitchell of Rocklin, CA delivered a powerful message just before Independence Day of this year. It was just posted on the ICG YouTube channel. John does not hold back on describing the wretched condition that America has lowered itself to by following false and godless leaders who reject the God of the Bible and rebel against His Word. His timely message is based on Ezekiel’s commission to warn the House of Israel. The House of Israel was composed of the ten northern tribes which rebelled against Solomon’s son after the death of Solomon. Their capital city became Samaria while Jerusalem remained the capital of the southern kingdom, aka, The House of Judah which consisted of the tribes of Benjamin and Judah. There are those who believe that Ezekiel’s warning message was only for his day. However, the Book of Revelation, which has prophecies pertaining to the end times, reveals an interesting parallel. It is found in Revelation ten. The apostle John is told take a “little book” from the mighty angel and then eat it. It was as sweet as honey in his mouth. This is exactly what happened when Ezekiel received a warning message from God or a mighty angel. See Ezekiel 3:1-6. After John eats the little book or scroll, he is told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings” (Revelation 10:11). The little book or scroll obviously contained the same warning message that was first given to Ezekiel. It was a message of repentance. That message is sorely needed today before major calamities befall our nation unlike anything that we have seen thus far. It is also interesting that the first four Trumpet plagues described in Revelation eight affect the earth and the sea and the sun in thirds. Ezekiel was told to shave his head and divide his hair into thirds which received different punishment (See Ezekiel 5:1-4). Notice that verse four says, “From there a fire will spread to all the house of Israel.” So, Ezekiel became bald to illustrate the punishment that would come upon the House of Israel. Isn’t it interesting that the symbol for America is a Bald Eagle. “Make yourself bald and cut off your hair because of your precious children. Enlarge your baldness like an eagle, for they shall go from you into captivity” (See Micah 1:16). The punishment foretold by God through Ezekiel does not have to come upon us and our children if our nation will repent and turn to the true God that is revealed in the Bible. Ezekiel’s message is still being delivered today by a modern-day John since God desires that we repent rather than perish.
