About 4,500 years ago our great1 grandfather Noah fashioned the wood used in the Ark in order to save the life of himself and his family from a worldwide flood that God told him was going to be released on an evil and wicked world. You can see in these short videos, parts of the Ark Noah built with his own hands! What else could such an enormous wooden structure crafted so expertly be; sitting so high up a mountain named Ararat (Genesis 8:4)? Noah may have had some help from his 3 sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth (at least it seems likely although the Scriptures do not give that information that I recall). The videos below certainly appear to not be faked nor even could be in my opinion. I know the explorer and researcher Ron Wyatt believed he had found a ship-like form much farther down from the mountain pointed at the ends, but to many there are a number of problems associated with that. Such as the shape and also iron parts were found in that area whereas the biblical record does not record any mention of iron; just wood and pitch inside and out to keep any water out. The Noah flood time frame would be around November 2348 BC if my calculations are accurate. The Bronze age started around 3300 BC and the Iron age supposedly was around 1200 BC – 600 BC. In the area of what Wyatt investigated, there also are large stones with holes in them which are believed to be anchors, which Noah would not have needed. Ron Wyatt did investigate an interesting area, but it would require more proof for me. At this time the much higher up iced-in wooden structure has my vote. Explanation of reference 1: ‘great grandfather Noah’ (1st paragraph) – going back around a maximum of 250 generations if we figure only 20 years between generations. [Note: Rather then meaning the average lifespan of humans, it appears this 120 years likely is a reference to Jubilee years which is every fiftieth year. See Leviticus 25 info below]. Gen. 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Gen. 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect [Note: ‘perfect’ in regard to verse 4 above] in his generations, and Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. 13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Gen. 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. [cubit = anywhere from about 15 to 21+ inches] 16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. 17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die. 18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. 20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. 21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them. 22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he. [I recommend reading chaps. 8 & 9 also to get the complete report. Gen. 8:4 says the ark came to rest upon the mountains of Ararat. These mountains of Ararat are in the country of Turkey.] INFO RE 120 YEARS from Genesis 6:3: Leviticus 25:8–13 states: You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years. Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land. You shall make the fiftieth year holy and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines. For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field. In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property. (WEB) SIGNIFICANCE OF 120 YEARS AND THE JUBILEE You will note every Jubilee eliminates all debts and starts everything fresh again. That is how God’s Government works. God is right now allowing mankind 6000 years (120 years of 50-year Jubilees) to try and rule themselves, and we see that has and is failing miserably. The Son of God, the Anointed One or Messiah, will be sent to earth by the Father to put down all evil and reestablish the true ways, allowing this project to last for 1000 years; represented by the last day of the week, or the 7th day of rest – the weekly Sabbath! That is not Sunday. Even the devil and his group which have been counterfeiting God’s Holy Days will be imprisoned for 1000 years. Peace at last! There are many scriptures that talk about this time; especially read through Jeremiah chp. 31 and Zechariah chp. 14. By the way, the 6000 years (120 years X 50) of mankind’s self-rule is almost done; we are probably already into the last biblical week or last seven years. The time of rest is coming fast; right after a time of terrible trouble for mankind known as the Tribulation. Hang in there! Our Savior said, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.” (Matthew 24:12-13). Let’s not let go of our love for our Creator (1 John 5:2-3) or especially our fellow believers (John 15:12, 17)! ——————————————————————————————————– See James Steinle’s other articles at: Steinle, James – Church of God, Bismarck (church-of-god-bismarck.org) ——————————————————————————————————– |
Iron Sharpening Iron In regard to: Looking Inside Noah’s Ark Article by James Steinle Comments by Laura Lee (Bismarck, North Dakota) |

Great job on this article, except when I proofread it later, I found a couple of things I need to point out to everyone reading this article. You mentioned in the article that the flood was around 2348 BC, but the Bronze age started around 3300 BC and the Iron age supposedly around 1200 BC – 600 BC. Well, take the Bronze age and the Iron age and throw it out the window as it means nothing in comparison to what scripture says. Uninformed man made all those ages up. When I hear any one talk about this age or that age, the first thing that comes to mind is evolution and how evolution teaches that man started out dumb and evolved to how smart they believe themselves to be today. Scripture teaches us that man started with a lot of knowledge which was lost at the time of the flood and more so at the time of the confounding of the languages at the tower of Babel. Noah could have used metal on the ark as they had metal workers before the flood. Gen 4:20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. Gen 4:21 And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. Gen 4:22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. These people before the flood were very smart people and probably knew how to do all of this stuff far better than what is made today. One very important thing they had over us is that many of them lived hundreds of years so they could share this knowledge and improve on it for generations. So yes, part of building the ark could have been the use of iron. The other point I want to make is the anchors. You indicate that Noah didn’t need anchors on the ark, but you don’t say why you believe that. In the account of Noah, it doesn’t say that after the ark was built, they now hooked it up to their truck and took it down to the boat ramp to get it ready for the flood they knew was coming. Can’t you just see people laughing at Noah because he built a huge boat on dry land with water probably nowhere in sight. The flood was violent. It killed all people and land animals except Noah and those on the ark with him. Noah most likely built the ark in pretty much the same place where it landed, give, or take a mile or two. The anchors would have been used to keep the boat in the same area it was built. Anchors are not just used to keep a boat in the same area, but they are also used to steady the boat and keep it from tipping over in violent weather. It is my understanding that Ron Wyatt found several anchor stones, which makes sense because they would have had to put them every so many feet apart around the ark to keep it from tipping over when the weather became really violent. As far as the ark goes, I won’t dispute that with you as no one knows where it is right now or if anything is left of it. Ron Wyatt makes a great case for his discovery of being the ark and the other guy seems also to make a good case for his. So, all we can do at this point is wait for more evidence. After listening to both accounts, I do believe Ron Wyatt had more proof not just for the ark but evidence of Noah and his family living in the area where Ron made his discovery. |
