| More gaps in the history of the WCG in Australia are being filled in. I received a box of goodies from a GCI elder who used to be pastor in Sydney many years ago. The box contained items kept by the long deceased May Stanley, a pioneer member of the Church – she received her first Plain Truth in Jan 1957. The GCI elder wrote a few days ago: >After a number of further interruptions, I’ve been able to go through the collection for you. There’s too much to just scan & send so I’ll send what you want via ordinary parcel mail. I’ve checked as much as possible with other interested parties & none wish to have any of it. So, you’re welcome to keep whatever I send to you. < I have scanned a few sample items for your reading pleasure. Much more to scan in due course but you can view a lot of items scanned over the years here! One is a letter from Gerald Waterhouse to her 21 Jan 1960 for a Bible study held 23 Jan. 12 were in attendance and this was 72 days after Mr Waterhouse landed in Australia according to her notes. Also, a letter written to her 23 Sept 1958. I have some 1960s regional director letters, Australian Feast brochures etc, but there are a number in this collection which I don’t have. The collection also does not include Church of God Australia News vol. 1, no. 1 or others from 1961, but perhaps the letters to Australian members were regarded as such for that year? Many years ago (1986 onward for a very long time) a minister persecuted me terribly for wanting to get a book published on the Origin of Nations and that is a long story. These internal persecutions led me to continue my archiving as well as undertake ever more research and writing on a number of areas of Biblical and related matters. The wolf pastors in the area later left the faith and have no regard for God’s truths or laws. From their entire time in the church, they tore apart people and congregations, leaving a trail of destruction. Some years later one of these false pastors left the truth of God and eventually decided to get rid of his library of Church of God literature which he had no need for, given that he no longer followed his calling. Circuitously it was offered to me by a member who was given this library by someone else! I had no hesitation in taking it and it appears that over 90% of the library was given to me. It was rather strange how this came about but one could call it “poetic justice.” Though I had most of the items in the library, they were well looked after, and the magazines nicely bound. Of this stunning matter, I wrote the following to friends on 11 March 2013: “A WCG minister who has gone along with the Tkachian apostasy gave away his old WCG literature to someone who offered it to another member who then offered it to me! So, I drove down to Melbourne to pick it all up recently. Almost all of the literature are duplicates to what I have, but that’s okay – I can help someone else fill in the gaps to their own library. So, if anyone would like these old WCG booklets, PTs, GNs, WNs, Tomorrow’s World magazine etc. do let me know and I am happy to give them to you. Btw, I have copious diary notes of the ongoing, year after year abuse and harassment by this false minister and his best friend in the ministry – they were very much opposed to my getting my history books published and they heard through the grapevine my being opposed to the Tkachian apostasy. This false minister would have a heart attack if he knew his literature somehow found their way into my hands! 😊 He, he, he, he, he …” One person responded how ironic this was. Indeed! And concerning them leaving the Way of God the Scriptures state: “What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”” (II Pet 2:22. See also Prov 26:11) I shall advise once I have scanned these items. Of course, it cost me postage like others have over the years (inc. a large amount last year).
