I want to thank all of you who have been supporting our impoverished brethren, especially the help that has been going to our orphans and widows. Life in these 3rd world countries can be quite difficult for our poor brethren to say the lease, and conditions sometimes become dire. Thanks to you donors, we were able to cover the expenses to bury Haron, and at the same time hold the Feast of Unleavened Bread (where we supplied food to all the orphans and widows during the entire seven days.) On top of that (again thanks to you donors) we were able to pay the orphan’s school fees for the upcoming semester. But that depleted our funds, and we currently have some brethren that are crying for help. I received the following from Douglas (The overseer of the Getionko congregation): “Our brethren have been suffering from extreme hunger. As of today, they have not had anything to eat, and the situation is only worsening. I have received numerous calls and messages pleading for help. Some of our brethren are not only hungry but also seriously ill, confined to their beds and too weak to even stand or work. Personally, I have been surviving solely on hot water since Monday, and many others are in similar circumstances. I humbly request your fervent prayers for us during this trying time. We believe in the power of prayer to bring comfort and relief. Please keep us in your prayers as we navigate through this challenging period. Yours in faith, Dauglas Ogendo.” We had 7,000 Kenya Schillings left in our account (That’s about $55.00) which we sent to Douglas immediately. I told him to go and try to keep his congregation alive. He said that he would go and bring them some food. Also, we were able to pay the orphan’s school fees, but some are in need of new school uniforms. Kenya is also experiencing some of the worst flooding on record, and some of the widow’s mud houses were damaged from the heavy rain, and they are requesting a little assistance to repair. If there was ever a time that we needed a little financial boost to help these orphans and widows in their afflictions, it is now. So, if you can help, please do so. And please continue to pray for us to be good stewards. Thank you, Bill Goff Website: www.khofh.org E-mail: goffb50@aol.com Phone: 843-447-0140 ——————————————————————————————————– See William P.
