| I want to thank everyone for your helpful prayers for my mom, Betty Fleming. And thank God for His abundant mercy. When I saw my mom yesterday, she was struggling to breathe despite the oxygen tube. She had not been able to eat or drink for the last few days. She could no longer speak because of the advance stage of the dementia. But I knew that she knew that I and my sisters were there with her. She gripped my hand for most of the time that I spent with her despite her weakened condition. From time to time, she would get a frightened look on her face. I would tell her that everything was okay and that there was nothing to be afraid of. I’m not certain, but I think that she was fighting death, and the thought would cause her to jolt with a scared look. Since she couldn’t talk, there was no way to know for certain what was causing this. It was hard to watch her mental discomfort. So, I’m grateful to God for releasing her from any physical or mental pain late this afternoon, Friday, May 24th, 2024. She was 91. She lasted much longer than the doctors expected over a year ago. Rest in peace, dear mama. You will be greatly missed. My sisters and I will carry on your legacy till Christ returns and all your grandchildren and great grandchildren will see the glory of God by your faithful love to us all! Once again, your prayers and spiritual support did help my mom, particularly after she fell and broke her hip two months ago. May God bless you all for your love and concern for my mom.
